Workshop Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for using the website of the Micro Frontends Workshops.

Please read these terms carefully before purchasing a ticket for one of our workshops. By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Attendance

1.1 When you purchase a ticket for a workshop, it is expected that you will attend the event. If, for any reason, you are unable to attend, you may seek a replacement person to attend the workshop on your behalf. However, please note that this is subject to approval from us.

1.2 If you find a replacement person to attend the workshop on your behalf, they must meet any eligibility criteria specified for the event. The replacement attendee will need to provide their details to us for verification purposes.

2. Ticket Cancellation

2.1 In the event that you need to cancel your ticket, please send us an email as soon as possible to “workshops@microfrontends.cloud”. If the ticket is cancelled, a handling fee of 10% of the total ticket price will be deducted from the refund amount. The handling fee covers administrative costs and other expenses incurred in connection with the ticket purchase. The remaining refund, after deducting the service fee, will be issued to you.

2.2 If you are unable to attend the workshop due to illness, the same terms mentioned in point 2.1 will apply. However, we understand that illnesses can be unpredictable, and we will take this into consideration on a case-by-case basis. Please email us immediately at “workshops@microfrontends.cloud” if you cannot attend due to illness, and we will assess the situation accordingly.

3. Changes to Workshop

3.1 While we make every effort to ensure that the workshop takes place as scheduled, we reserve the right to make changes to the event, including the date, time, venue, content, or trainer. In such cases, we will notify ticket holders as soon as possible and provide suitable alternatives, including rescheduling or offering a refund.

3.2 Our sole liability in relation to any cancellation, postponement or change of the event shall be limited to the price paid by you for such workshop and we shall not be liable under any circumstances for any consequential losses.

4. Code of Conduct

4.1 By attending a workshop, you agree to comply with our code of conduct, which promotes a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants. Any violation of the code of conduct may result in immediate expulsion from the event without refund.

5. Liability

5.1 We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury that may occur during the workshop. Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings and well-being.

5.2 Nothing in these terms shall be deemed to limit the liability of any person for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

6. Privacy

6.1 By purchasing a ticket and attending the workshop, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with our privacy policy.

6.2 We may wish to photograph or record the workshop and reserve the right to do so for the purposes of promoting future workshops or otherwise. We will ask your consent for photographing or recording you and any persons attending the workshop with you.

6.3 You may not photograph or record the workshop without our prior consent.

7. Intellectual property

7.1 You may not use, reproduce, or distribute or allow anyone to use, reproduce, or distribute any intellectual property appearing in the workshop in any medium without our prior written consent. This includes, in particular, recordings of workshops or photos taken in connection with the workshops.

8. Amendments

8.1 These terms are subject to change without prior notice. Any amendments will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or notification to ticket holders.

9. Governing law

9.1 These terms shall be governed by German Law and your hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the German Courts.
